I just realized that I haven’t written about music in a while lately, so I decided to update on what I have been listening to for the last couple of months.
First off is some relaxing harp music, called Pure Harp music. I love this as background music, when I am sipping my tea and reading a relaxing book. It helps me relax and stop thinking about what I need to do and how much work I still have to do. I love when music seems to take me to a different world. You can find and listen to this album for free on Spotify.
Next up, I have been listening to Jackie Evancho’s new album ( well released almost 2 years ago), Awakening. I listen to this album when I need to be refreshed, motivated, or inspired. When I listen to her, I feel transported into a different world, and it just relaxes me and refreshes me. And because of this mental refreshment I can conquer what I still need to accomplish without feeling tired.
I feel as if there are different ways we need to relax everyday. Sometimes we need peace and quiet, sometimes we need something relaxing, sometimes we just need to be refreshed and recharged. So this is a perfect album if you want to be recharged and refreshed, and ready to tackle your next big assignment.
And finally, I have been loving Bach’s violin sonatas. One of my favorite instruments is the violin, as it can be soothing and emotional, both which are lovely to hear. Here is the album I am currently listening to Solo Violin Sonatas, by E. Ysaye . I love the selection of music she plays. Also some of the sonatas I had never heard before, which is great since I always love finding new pieces of classical music.
Well that is all for now. As you can see from my selections, I love mixing my music a bit, listening to classical, pop, or crossover music, and everything else that I find to be beautiful and inspiring.
What do you love listening to? Let me know in the comments what is your favorite genre of music. I would love to know.
Happy listening,
Alyssa
