Hello again everyone!
Yesterday my sister and I were both off work. Because of this, we both decided that it was time to again have some sister time with our afternoon tea hour.
We used to do this when we were both in high school. We would hurry and get all our assignments done for the day, so we can enjoy afternoon tea and a walk outside together. That became our tradition, until we had different college schedules that made this daily tradition a rarity.
Similarity, now that we are both working, it is harder than ever to find time to get to do this. So we were so excited yesterday to have this opportunity.
In the morning we ran some errands, then came home and did as much housework as we could, then prepared lunch as usual, but made some vanilla muffins as a treat for our tea. Since we thought it would ran, we took our walk before our tea, which might not been the best idea, since it was very hot and humid. But I had an idea of making our tea cold, especially as we are fast approaching summer.
So we came inside, and began our afternoon tea with the delicious muffins and a new flavor of tea called Cinnamon Vanilla, with some cold milk. Everything was very scrumptious. And we loved talking about anything and everything just as old times. This is what tea time is all about, reconnecting with what is important.
So I hope you enjoyed this post, and it gave you some ideas of how to spend your tea time. It doesn’t have to be extravagant. My sister and I had this tea on the floor of our room, though I did try to make the tea and muffins look nice. What is important is to take the time to relax and enjoy the company of each other. So maybe next time, your sibling or family comes to visit, instead of going out to eat, have a relaxing tea time instead. You will be glad you did.
Have a blessed day,
Alyssa
