Its flu season, and that means a lot of germs and being around people who are sick, have been sick, or are getting sick. This year a particularly nasty flu is circulating that leads to walking pneumonia. Several members of my family have gotten this flu, and some friends. Thankfully, many are fully recovered or are on the mend.
However, how can you prevent yourself from getting sick at all this flu season?
Today I am going to be giving you several tea recipes so that you can prevent yourself from getting sick, or if you get sick you can get better much sooner.
Ginger tea
mix one teaspoon of Ginger with one tablespoon of honey. Stir well. Then add boiling hot water to the mug, and stir again. If you are just getting started with using ginger, then start out using less, otherwise it might be a tad too spicy.
Honey Cinnamon Tea
Mix one teaspoon of Cinnamon with one tablespoon of honey. Stir well. Then add boiling hot water to the mug, and stir again. This is a great tea, it is very sweet, and perfect for a sore throat.
Lemon Tea
Squeeze half a lemon into boiling hot water and give it a stir. This is a great tea to prevent cold and flu, as lemon has vitamin C and is also detoxifies, taking all the bad toxins out of the body.
Honey Lemon Ginger Tea
I love this tea as it has a mix of all my favorite flavors. Again we will be mixing one teaspoon of ginger with one tablespoon of honey. Then we will add a some juice from a lemon. You can add more or less depending on your taste. Then just add boiling hot water.
I hope you give these teas a try to keep healthy or aid in getting better,
Have a great day,
Alyssa
