Hello Lovelies,
Hard to believe that February is almost over. Seems like the new year just started yesterday.
February was a good month for me. I got back to editing my book after being in a slump for most of January. Now I am back in full swing and hope to have a professional draft to be completed by the end of March or April.
I also had the opportunity to go to a formal dance. Although, I attended last year, my dress torn in the third dance. So I wasn’t able to dance for the rest of the evening. This year I choose a dress that was a little shorter so I wouldn’t worry about me or someone else tripping on the hem. And I did have a lovely time. I love that we had chance to have fellowship and fun. I do feel that we need to have this art of social dancing brought back to our society. We are too often absorbed in television and social media, and don’t put as much value on fellowship as we should.
Also, I am working hard on learning how to use a sewing machine. A while ago, I joined a quilting group that makes quilts for people in need, such as pregnancy centers and orphanages. And they gifted me a sewing machine. It was such a blessing. But when I tried to practice on the machine, it wouldn’t work. So after my teacher fiddled with it, it was taken to get fixed. Once fixed,I learned a lot about putting in the bobbin thread correctly and treading a sewing machine. Now I am very close to sewing all the pieces I have cut out for my quilt. I am excited to see how it will turn out.
All in all February was a great month for me. I hope that you are all doing well and still working hard on your goals for this year. Remember it is never to late to start anything. Even though it is the second month of the year, you still have more than enough time you need to start something. So go for it.
Have a great weekend,
Alyssa
