Well, I thought that I would start off the new year with something that we all need, which is physical and mental health. This will be a six week series which will show you how to use tea and relaxation techniques so that you can be in the best physical and mental health as we start the new year. I will also show what teas are best for relaxation , focus, and physical wellness.
So to kick off the series, we will focus on how we rely on both our mental and physical health. We shall look at a few studies detailing how mental health and physical health are related.
Mental and physical health are closely related. Good mental health plays a role in a person’s ability to maintain good physical health.
For instance, researchers at the Bangor University in Wales found performance of a mentally fatiguing task prior to a difficult exercise test caused participants to reach exhaustion more quickly than when they did the same exercise when mentally rested. So, “resting up” and finding a peaceful mindfulness before a big day of physical activity is likely going to help you feel better and last longer doing the day. Mental and physical fatigue linked.
I know for myself, if I have a mentally challenging day, it is hard more me to do something physical and vice versa. Also, being mentally fatigued can make it hard for all of us to accomplish the goals we have set for ourselves, as every task seems mentally draining.
So if our mental and physical health are linked in this way, let’s think about how our other aspects of physical and mental wellness. This can be true if we don’t exercise, sleep, or even nourish our bodies properly. It has been linked that many of our mental aliments are brought on by neglecting our physical body and vice versa.
So are you ready to join me in getting both our mental and physical health back?
Stay tuned for a new post in the next week!
